So I waited...

I waited a full year to hear the following words, and Saturday brought that wait to a close. Yes indeed, as I cleaned the kitchen, from the living room I heard a man's timbre:

"No Soup for you."

That bird will never cease to amaze and delight me. I am not a fan of Seinfield, but I do appriciate that many people find the show very amusing. I, myself am amused my the idea of the Soup Nazi and have been telling people that Baby says that, but I have never heard her. Now I have. My day was complete.

Sounds like a cool bird. I wouldn't mind having one. Are they difficult pets? BTW, I Love Seinfeld! On multiple ocassions something has happened in my life and I've immediately thought, "there was a Seinfeld episode about this."

Yay!

I love it when my Gray says something new. As long as it's not obscene...

Last night she said "pretty" and "Chocolate" All her obscene stuff she had when I adopted her. I've been trying not to teach her more, although sometimes when Jack is chewing on the carpet...

Charlie, I love my bird and find her to be a wonderful pet. If you are prepared for a lifetime of noise and food on the walls (I had lots of fun scrubbing cherry juice off of my white walls the other day), then I highly recommend getting a book on parrots to see which one is right for you. I adopted Baby when she was about 14, so she came with some behavoir problems, some of which I have been able to love her through, some of which she will always have. I can't imagine life without her and sometimes consider another one, but I worry about how she would react. They are very smart animals. And lots of fun to keep.
