In the comments section of my last post, Rick suggested that I start posting my art. I explained why I don't, and promised pictures. so here are a couple of yarns I have spun (and some roving I dyed) that I am particularly proud of.
I dyed this with easter egg dyes. The yarn came out lovely but I didn't take a picture. Sadly, the dye was not sun-proof.
Kool-Aide makes a damn fine yarn dye.
And there you have it. The reason I don't post my art.

Wow! And I am not just saying that. The photos look like they could tell a story.
I never thought of using eye dye and koolaid for coloring. Reminds me of how artists make colors of paint themselves rather than buying it off the shelf. If you saw the series, "The Black Donnellys" on NBC, you would understand what I am saying.
Did I already tell you I learned how to crochet when I was a kid? I forgot most, but I use a crochet stitch to store many of my cables and extension cords. The take up much less space and rarely tangle.
wow.... That's kinda cool in an arty way.
btw I've had to put my permissions back on.
