The fear of rejec...SE, I have to disagree with you. The fear of rejection is legitimate and real. It's what you do with fear that drives your life. For example, I can take my fear of large groups of people and hide in my house for the rest of my life, or, I can join a Roller Derby League and learn to handle it. I can worry how to approach a man, or I can remember that I am an individual unto myself and focus on that instead of worrying about things that are out of my control. That person knows how I feel, it isn't as though it is a secret, what he does with the information is up to him; I'm not going to chase, I have too many other things I can be doing. And there are other men out there if he is not interested.
I also don't really like to think of my life in terms of how much time I have left. It's depressing. I would rather focus on my life right now and live it in such a way that I look back on it 40 years from now and think that I did the best that I could.
These are things I occasionally have to remind myself about. It is the core of my periodic attitude adjustments. I needed to write this post so that I could realize that I need one and start focusing on that instead of getting all mopey over a guy.

Ps My great grandmother was 96 when she died. I may have more time than you think!Ginamonsterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14708004928074429212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7424437.post-25959500969776855292009-05-06T09:05:00.000-07:002009-05-06T09:05:00.000-07:00GM, you need to quit being a baby.

Wh...GM, you need to quit being a baby.

Woman up!

What is the worst they can do? Say they don't like you back? You already had that happen and survived. It will be easier the more it happens.

Will they tell everyone they work with and talk behind your back? That is much better than talking in front of you, because if they talk in front of you, it means they do not respect you.

You only have what, 40 more years to enjoy life, then it's Depends, banana Pudding, and bingo nights.

Don't waste another day of the remaining 480 months you have left worrying about what others think. Identify what you want and go after it.

480 months...doesn't seem like a lot of time, when you put it that way, does it?

It's NOT a lot of time, so quit wasting it!

Veriword Dictionary:
GONSU: Cantonese word meaning "Time is gone soon enough. Don't waste it!"Senseihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00491064563076330773noreply@blogger.com
